Road Trip: Buffalo – Grover’s Bar & Grill

After Indoor Skydiving in Niagara Falls, Ontario, we crossed the border again, this time, we drove to East Amhert, New York, a suburb of Buffalo to check out Grover’s Bar & Gill. One of my friends has Ben to this restaurant before and this was also featured in Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-ins & Dives program some time ago. The restaurant is named after Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States of America, since the restaurant is located in his former hunting lodge.

To start, I ordered the soup of the day, Cheeseburger Soup. It’s a cream based almost cheese-sauce-like texture with chunks of hamburger meat. Nothing much to say except…it tastes awesome and you should try it!

For my in dish, I ordered the Bacon Blue Burger ($7.95), a 12oz burger cooked to your preference with crispy bacon and topped with bleu cheese. You know a restaurant uses high quality beef when they ask you how you want your burger cooked. The burger was cooked perfectly medium and was very juicy and full of flavour. The 12oz pure beef patty was very hearty, and the crispy bacon and bold flavour of the bleu cheese was a combination that can be described as pure awesomeness.

Definitely a restaurant I’d visit again. If you’re around the Buffalo area or hanging around Niagara Falls, give Grover’s Bar & Grill a visit…you won’t regret.
